About

Philodendron pedatum have a beautifully unique leaf shape and are known and loved for their simple care, and fast growing tendencies! They're also extremely easy to propagate in water so you can grow (or gift) your collection with ease.

Light: Indirect light or shade

Typically, Philodendron do well in a brightly lit spot with no direct light. They can handle full sun in the early morning and late afternoon but you might see crisping around the edge of the leaves. This variety isn't as shade tolerant as other philodendrons so avoid a dark spot.

Watering: Moderate

In Spring and Summer you should let about half the pot of soil dry out between waterings, but this can be dropped over Autumn and Winter and left until almost the full put of soil has dried. The easiest way to check moisture levels is by sticking your finger into the soil to the required depth. The lower the light level, the less watering will be required.

Humidity: Moderate

Philodendron are a tropical plant that love moisture in the air. No space in your bathroom for more plants? Don’t despair, as most people's homes are humid enough to house one of these unfussy house guests.

Note:

The larger leaves on a Philodendron pedatum can be prone to gathering dust. Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth if you notice a build up, or use a water and neem oil mix to stave off pests.
