Dieffenbachia are a tropical houseplant that thrives in moderate to high humidity and bright but indirect light. "Camille" has a dark green rim around each leaf and an almost-white green centre. They prefer a free-draining compost to prevent root rot but need fairly regular watering. It prefers warmer temperatures, not wanting to drop below 18 degrees Celsius, and should be kept away from draughts and areas of regularly fluctuating temperate such as fireplaces or beside a door. Feed during spring and summer to encourage new growth.
