Light: Bright but indirect light
They prefer bright but indirect light, but can also do well in a shadier environment. Since these plants grow in trees in their natural habitat, they don’t receive much to any direct sunlight.
Watering: Low
In the warmer months wait for the top 2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings, and over winter wait for the soil to almost dry out completely before watering.
Humidity: Medium to high
Since these plants originate from tropical rainforest, they love a high humidity environment. Would benefit from being placed in a bathroom or kitchen.
Note:
Non-toxic to cats and dogs! They also flower from spring to summer, and even sometimes year round when left in bright-indirect light.
