Aspidistra are an extremely hardy houseplant that will tolerate even the most undesirable of home environments. They will be happy in almost any light level bar direct sunlight coming from the hot midday sun (early morning or late afternoon is fine). They can handle erratic watering, although they would prefer to be watered once about half the pot of soil has dried out. Humidity levels aren't important for this tough plant, they can handle both dry air and high humidity.
